A properly installed hardwood floor involves far more than simply nailing a floor to the subfloor. Our trained and experienced floor mechanics produce finely crafted, timeless hardwood floors. Our process includes an attention to each component of a proper floor installation. For example, as part of our standard practice, we strive to ensure that your new hardwood floors do not squeak. This means checking the subfloor for looseness or deflection, and screwing the subfloor to the joists wherever needed. As part of our “best practices” system, planks 5” and over are installed using the glue/assist method. This method uses a combination of floor stapling and urethane adhesive. The result is a quieter and more dimensionally stable hardwood floor. Refinishing
The Natural Choice!
Alpine Flooring & Design’s Atomic dust containment hardwood floor refinishing system, combined with our low VOC, virtually odorless, top durability polyurethanes, allows Alpine Flooring & Design to set the standard in CLEAN, HIGH DURABILITY finished floors. Our dust containment system means that our sanding machines are hooked up to powerful vacuum systems. Our system captures 98% of all dust. Most of our competition do not operate a dust containment system, and their sanders simply use a cloth bag to capture the dust, rather than a vacuum system which pulls and draws the dust away. Our floor mechanics are trained and skilled at applying seamless top coats, using our water based polyurethane finishing system. Our polyurethanes have virtually no odor, and no harmful fumes, so you do not need to move out of your house while we do the work. They are safe for you, your family and animals. An additional benefit of our polyurethane is that it cures and dries quickly, which means less downtime. We routinely refinish floors and have the client back on their floor in as little as 2-3 days. Similar jobs take the competition 4-6 days. Each week we are helping bring a vision into a reality. Whether our client envisions a dark brown/black floor, or a grey/walnut floor in a matte finish, Alpine Flooring & Design knows how to get it done. Deep Cleaning
& Coating
Alpine Flooring & Design and our subsidiary, Alpine CleanCoat, lead the industry with our proprietary hardwood floor deep cleaning and coating system. Customers work hard to ensure their hardwood floors look beautiful, but as time passes, the finish is slowly removed by the friction of daily foot traffic on the floors. If the necessary steps to properly maintain them are not met, eventually bare wood becomes exposed thus meaning a complete refinish. Our deep cleaning system uses a dual-brush power scrubber machine to safely remove dirt, grime, and build up from your hardwood floor. Every few years floors can be recoated to maintain their protective layer with polyurethane. After the deep cleaning process, a second optional service is to coat the floor with our DuraLinx3X polyurethane – 3 TIMES STRONGER than traditional polyurethanes. We will coat your floor with not one, but two coats of polyurethane. Most jobs can be completed in as little as 1-2 days. Our polyurethane system will restore the beauty and prolong the life of your hardwood floors without sanding. Clients have told us how clean and restored their floors look after our recoating system. The magic is that the power scrubber machine removes the ground in, imbedded dirt and gets rid of grease, and that in turn allows the new coats of polyurethane to highlight the beauty of the hardwood floors.
